Built around real shop tasks

From part profile to a machining plan you can review.

Keep the profile, operations, tools, and program together in one turning project. Generate a program draft, inspect visible risks, then carry a clearer record into machine-side verification.

01 / CAPABILITIES

Let the job guide the preparation

Keep setup details and machining outputs with the part, instead of splitting them across calculators, code, and notes.

◫01

Turning projects

Organize stock, material, machine, profile, tools, operations, programs, and measurement notes. When duplicating a similar part, review what carries over; old programs and first-article measurements are not treated as new results.

⌁02

Profiles and geometry

Build profiles from lines, tapers, chamfers, fillets, and arcs. Geometry solvers and continuity checks help review intersections and profile issues. Import ASCII DXF LINE, ARC, and LWPOLYLINE entities.

G03

Program generation

Create starter programs for roughing, finishing, threading, grooving, and boring, with FANUC, GSK, KND, and SYNTEC post-processors.

✓04

Program checker

Review line-level diagnostics, cycle and arc geometry notes, modal risks, and unsupported codes to find items that need attention.

↗05

2D toolpath view

Review stock, finished profile, cutting and rapid moves, with program-line and toolpath-point references to help spot visible geometry or motion risks.

⌗06

Shop-floor calculators

Look up metric threads, convert RPM and feed, calculate tapers, reference G/M codes, and record first-article measurements with correction suggestions.

01 / TECHNICAL GUIDES & TOOLS

From control manuals to shop-floor review

Read sourced guides to common turning questions and use local, browser-based unit calculators.

02 / JOB WORKFLOW

Start with the part. Follow the operation.

A contextual, reviewable path for common turning preparation tasks.

01

Create a project

Start from a demo or a new job and record stock, material, machine, controller, and other conditions.

02

Define profile and tools

Set the part geometry and check that machine and tooling details are complete.

03

Plan operations and generate

Create a starter program for available roughing, finishing, threading, grooving, or boring operations.

04

Check, preview, and record

Review line-level diagnostics and a simplified 2D path. Record first-article measurements after machine-side verification.

03 / PROJECT WORKFLOW / STEPPED SHAFT

Keep the part context with the code

A machining project keeps job conditions and related outputs in view. Review the relationship between profiles, operations, tools, and programs; when a setting changes, check whether the program needs to be regenerated and reviewed.

SCOPE AND LIMITS

Preparation and risk review, with operator judgment

Program output, static checks, and a 2D preview cannot establish machining safety. They do not replace controller simulation, dry runs, single-block operation, machine manuals, or trial cuts. Machine model, controller version, settings, workholding, and tooling all affect the result. The operator must review the program before running it.

04 / FAQ

Frequently asked questions

All questions ↗
Does TurnMate control a CNC machine?

No. TurnMate supports preparation, program drafting, and static review. It does not connect to or control a machine. The operator must verify every NC program against the specific machine, controller manual, tooling, and workholding.

Which controllers are supported?

Current product materials list FANUC, GSK, KND, and SYNTEC post-processor baselines. Syntax can vary by model and software version; this does not mean a specific machine has been field-certified.

Is the 2D toolpath view a machine simulation?

No. It shows a simplified 2D profile and motion path. It does not model a complete machine, fixtures, servo behavior, cutting forces, or real collision volumes.

Can I work offline? Is project data uploaded?

The app is designed for local-first use and does not require an account. Projects, machines, tools, and drafts are not automatically uploaded. Content leaves the device when you choose to share a program, backup, or feedback.
